Muslims community in the greater Puyallup area of Pierce County is rapidly growing. Current trend of remote work has influenced many Muslims families to move from Seattle to Puyallup, Sumner, Bonney Lake, Graham, Orting, Fife, Buckley, Spanaway and other nearby cities.  But there was no nearby mosque within easy commuting distance.  Alhamdulillah, most recently our local leaders, volunteers and donors have taken the initiative and found a rental place on a short term lease  where our Muslims men, women, youth and kids are coming together regularly to practice the faith, pray Juma, learn about our religion, socialize, organize community programs, facilitate charity events and help others in need. 

 

Alhamdulillah, we recently have completed the purchase of a 2.5+ acres property with $273K down payment and $588K Islamic mortgage. Our immediate goal is to urgently renovate the main prayer hall and develop parking lot at cost of $175K, so we can pray five daily prayers in jamaat including, Jumu'ah on Friday and  Tarawih during Ramadan. The short term goal is to pay off $588K mortgage in next two (2) years and make PICC debt free.  The mid-term goal is to construct a 6,500 sq.ft. Islamic Center/masjid within next five (5) years with a budget of $2M. Finally the long term goal of PICC is to expand the center into a 25,000 sq.ft. facility which will house a masjid, an Islamic learning center/school and a multi-purpose community center with a budget of $6.5M in ten (10) years. We seek Allah's  guidance in our journey and we will be successful Insha'Allah.  

 

Our local Muslims are already generously donating but we don't have enough yet.  So we are encouraging everyone to support us to raise $175,000 immediately, so we can establish our own permanent place as Puyallup Islamic Community Center Insha'Allah. May Allah reward us all. Ameen.
